ZAHA — by Naomie Hadida

V & M L’ATELIER & NAOMIE HADIDA BRING ZAHA HADID BACK TO LIFE

Led by the creative duo Vanessa and Mehdi, V & M L’Atelier has revolutionised 3D printing with innovative, high-quality processes serving fine eyewear. To push their quest for innovation even further, V & M decided to champion young talents for exceptional projects.

With this goal in mind, they supported and shared their technical savoir-faire with the participants of the eyewear design contest at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit in Montreal.

The theme of the contest: how to pay tribute to the immense architect Zaha Hadid, who passed away in 2016, by dedicating the design of an eyewear frame to her?

Naomie Hadida rose to this challenge, and so the “Zaha” project was born.

After the 3D modelling and the complete technical development of the project, Vanessa & Mehdi brought their experience and skills to reveal Naomie’s idea.

It is the culmination of this exceptional piece that we present today: ZAHA as seen by Naomie Hadida.

A tribute to “the queen of curves”, Zaha Hadid, the Iraqi-British architect who passed away in 2016, this frame with its dynamic design is an architectural challenge that only 3D printing could meet.
